Chapter 2 Yin Ghosts
Zhou Fan listened for a while, there were no footsteps coming, and his ears heard the 'hoo ...... hoo ......' sound of a fine wind blowing in from the wooden door side.
Zhou Fan froze for a moment, he opened the door twice today and knew that the solid wood door was very heavy, it was hard to blow it open if it wasn't a gale, what's going on?
This darkness without any points of light made him not open his eyes, otherwise he might not even be able to breathe out of fear.
He was waiting for his 'parents' to come in and light the lamp before he opened his eyes, but now he was wondering why the wooden door was suddenly pushed open, could it be that someone was playing a prank, pushing the door open outside and not coming in?
Suddenly.
There are hands choking Zhou Fan's neck, cold palms instantly make Zhou Fan creepy.
Zhou Fan still did not open his eyes, so dark and no light even if he opened his eyes is of no use, his right hand clenched his fist, estimated the position of the other party's head upward blast.
In his previous life, when he was a criminal police officer, Zhou Fan was clear that the head is the place where people have the most weaknesses, whether it is hitting the person's head, nose, eyes, or any other place can be!
But Zhou Fan's fist hit the air, hitting nothing!
How is this possible?
Zhou Fan heart horrified, the man pressed his feet, choking his neck, just above him, upward punch even if it does not hit the man's head, but also should hit the other parts of the body of the man is right, why ......
The hands choking his neck suddenly increased their strength.
"Cough ...... cough ...... cough ...... cough ......"
Zhou Fan's breathing became difficult as he desperately struggled, reaching out and grabbing towards his neck in an attempt to break the palms that were trying to strangle him.
Only Zhou Fan's hands still grasped empty, his neck could clearly feel palms desperately choking him, but his palms caught nothing.
Zhou Fan kept gasping for air, his heart beating wildly, his hands kept slapping his neck, and his head was starting to get close to being unable to think.
Zhou Fan's feet also kept trying to lift upwards with force, but he was unable to move the slightest bit.
'Am I going to die?' This thought surfaced in Zhou Fan's mind, and he could no longer care about anything else as he opened his eyes, and it was dark as far as the eye could see.
But the pupils of his eyes suddenly contracted as he saw a humanoid shadow in the darkness, which was strangling his neck with its hand.
Zhou Fan's vision began to blur a little.
Just then, the room lit up with a flash of light, the darkness quickly faded, and the shadow suddenly disappeared.
"Hoo...... hoo...... hoo...... hoo......" Zhou Fan could breathe, he inhaled loudly, fresh air rushed into his lungs. His throat and lung lobes had a fiery pain.
"Fan, Fan, are you alright?" A woman in her forties with a haggard face anxiously helped Zhou Fan up.
"It's the Yin Ghost, it took advantage of Ah Fan's weakness to set its sights on him." The old farmer-like middle-aged man next to him said, he left with quick steps and returned with a bowl of water not long after.
Zhou Fan didn't have time to open his mouth to speak before he was filled with water.
Zhou Fan just took a sip and he couldn't help but cough, this wasn't ordinary water, it carried a pungent and spicy flavor.
Zhou Fan wanted to spit it out, but the middle-aged man didn't let Zhou Fan spit, he pinched Zhou Fan's chin and drank, "Drink it all if you don't want to die."
Zhou Fan was still hardened into a bowl of strange water, he drank it down only to feel a heat rising up all over his body, dispelling a chill.
"It should be fine." The middle-aged man said with a sigh of relief as he touched Zhou Fan's forehead with his large rough hands.
The woman standing to the side on the other hand breathed a long sigh of relief as she chided, "Ah Fan, how come you didn't know when you were targeted by the Yin Ghost? Didn't Mother tell you before to beware of such things?"
Zhou Fan slowed his breath, he froze and said, "What kind of Yin Ghost?"
The middle-aged man said in a deep voice, "Don't you say A Fan, it's us who were careless, have you forgotten that A Fan's head has a lot of things that he can't remember right now?"
The woman gave a bitter smile and said, "It's me who was confused."
The middle-aged man shook his head and said, "Let's go and cook first, Ah Fan you have a good rest."
The couple then turned around and went about their business.
Zhou Fan had a lot of questions in his heart that he wanted to ask, but seeing that the couple had left, he couldn't talk anymore.
The couple were Zhou Fan's current parents, and in the conversations over the past few days, he knew that his father was called Zhou Yi Mu, and his mother was known as 'Gui Feng', but Zhou Fan wasn't clear on what his exact surname was.
Zhou Fan laughed bitterly, he felt that his 'parents' heart was a bit big, he was almost strangled to death just now, but the two of them turned around as if nothing had happened to them and went to cook after settling it.
I don't know if the values of ancient people are a little different ......
Zhou Fan touched his neck, he could caress his neck with shallow finger strangulation marks.
Zhou Fan's face changed slightly, what just happened was not an illusion, but what exactly is a Yin Ghost?
Could there really be something strange in the darkness?
Zhou Fan before crossing is an atheist, he has investigated a lot of suspicious cases, but has never seen a ghost, but now there is some doubt, perhaps this world ......
Zhou Fan looked again at the dark corners of the house where the oil lamps could not reach, and he stared.
He stared for a while, and his body no longer had that creepy reaction, as if the scary thing in the darkness had left.
Zhou Fan's head was a bit confused, he couldn't figure out what was going on.
After a while, his mother Gui Feng walked in, she smiled and said, "Ah Fan, let's go eat."
Gui Feng then reached out to help Zhou Fan stand up.
"Mother, I can do it myself." Zhou Fan shook his head, somewhat squirming at calling the other party 'Mother', he knew that this could not be avoided.
Besides, he was after all using his predecessor's body, no matter what the reason was, then in the future, his predecessor's parents would be his parents.
Zhou Fan had already stood up on his own when he thought like this.
Gui Feng, who was watching on the side, said with a happy face, "It seems that Ah Fan has gotten better, then your father and I don't have to worry about tomorrow's events."
Tomorrow's events?
Zhou Fan asked, "Mother, what's tomorrow?"
Gui Feng said, "The hair binding, originally we thought we would have to hold you up, but today you were able to stand up on your own, so I guess it's fine."
Bunched hair?
Zhou Fan wanted to ask again, but was pushed by Gui Feng to come and sit at the dining table.
Zhou family's mud house is two mud walls separated into three small rooms, the house sits north to south, the east side of the room is Zhou Fan's bedroom, the west side of the room is the parents' bedroom, the center is used as a simple small hall, usually eat or entertain guests with.
Before those three days are mother Gui Feng to the bed to feed Zhou Fan eat, Zhou Fan then head as if a piece of paste, just subconsciously eat, not much feeling.
Now was the first time he sat down to eat with his parents.
On the four-sided table, there was only a plate of green vegetables served in a large bowl, which was mixed with small pieces of dark meat.
Zhou Fan just glanced at the plate of vegetables, he moved his eyes away and focused on the oil lamp on the table.
The black porcelain oil lamp had a faint flame on it, the oil of this oil lamp naturally would not be kerosene, but animal fat or vegetable oil, as to which one, Zhou Fan did not know.
To be more precise, what attracted Zhou Fan's attention was the talisman that was pressed underneath the oil lamp.
The talisman was coated with deep red vermilion sand, and the crooked lines made it look very unique.
