Chapter III. Notebooks
Five minutes later, a poor guy in a stormtrooper jacket desperately tucked himself underneath a diagnostic bed.
It didn't really matter that the man's name was Parker ......, he couldn't always remember his own name now.
Besides, he didn't really understand what had just happened in five minutes. Anyway, by the time he reacted to his mind, several brothers in front of him had already piled up on the ground.
The reason why he had to use the word "pile" was that he really couldn't find any other words to describe them, because those people were really just piled up one by one by his feet, at that time, he couldn't even tell who those people were, after all, he didn't have the time to put them together. He just obeyed the tiny bit of instinct he still retained, rushed out of the house haphazardly, and then ran violently along a corridor until he reached the last room, which then he got underneath something that looked like a diagnostic bed and hid himself.
What in the world had just happened?
What about the person outside?
Who the hell was that person?
Why was it so quiet?
This hidden corner gave Parker a bit of illusory security, so he began to think wildly, and by the way, he also pinched himself a bit to confirm that all this is not a dream ...... I have to say that this person's mental quality is quite strong.
But just at this time, not far away, it seems to be a burst of slow and leisurely footsteps.
Parker s entire heart was in his throat, and his whole body was uncontrollably taut.
Immediately afterward, he clearly heard the door of the room being pulled open, and then a pair of blood-stained leather shoes slowly came into sight, and it was obvious from the white hem of the coat dripping with blood below that it was the doctor.
Parker felt a violent spasm in his airway that made him almost cry out, but luckily he was able to cover his mouth as soon as he could by sheer force of will, which prevented him from making any noise.
The shoes wandered around the room a few times, and finally stopped in front of the treatment bed, Parker could clearly smell the sweet smell, the blood on the lapel dripped on the floor, and some of it splashed on his forehead.
Then he heard a "pop ......", the soft click of a lighter, followed by an elongated exhale of smoke.
He huddled desperately in the corner, hands clasped over his mouth, almost suffocating himself, his mind buzzing. Luckily, that doctor shouldn't have found anything ......
His toes turned in the direction of the door to the room, and he was about to lift his leg, as he watched, and head out.
However, at that very moment, God seemed to be playing a little joke on Parker.
That doctor's lighter did not hold steady, when a moment, fell to the ground, and then that lighter followed the blood that had just dripped down, a slip, just slipped down next to the tip of Parker's nose ......
Parker's eyes went wide.
Immediately afterward, he saw the man visibly freeze for a moment, then turn around, walk toward himself, and bend down ...... A blood-stained hand reached in and groped right in front of his eyes.
At that instant, Parker felt a warm rush in his crotch.
Okay, he peed ......
But he couldn't care less now, he could only be thankful that he was still dressed for the day and that the fuzz on his fall pants would absorb enough pee so that he wouldn't let them overflow.
Finally, the man touched the lighter, picked it up, and straightened.
For a moment, it seemed to Parker that he heard the world chanting a hymn, and he, who had never had any faith, swore sincerely from the bottom of his heart in that instant that he would be a good man for the rest of his life.
But suddenly, a head snapped into his sight, and the doctor's pair of eyes stared straight at him.
"Uhhhhhhhh-"
A scream that barely sounded like a human being rang through the night sky.
......
......
Today was definitely one of Parker's most memorable days, in fact he had pinched himself no less than twenty times, but the pain told him that this was no dream.
Now for himself, there was good news and bad news.
The good news is: he's not dead.
The bad news was: he wasn't sure if being alive was a good thing.
At the moment, he himself was sitting in that doctor's office, yes, the same office where he had just put on his fierce, scowling face, but he had never expected that 10 minutes later, all he had to think about would be how to keep from puking in the midst of all these corpses all over the place and how to keep his crotch from getting so wet.
Everyone was dead ...... It didn't take much experience in street fighting to see that, because they were getting pretty fragmented.
But himself was alive.
Instead of killing himself, that horrible doctor had brought himself here and ...... poured himself a cup of tea?
What the heck, he poured himself a cup of tea? ...... This was ridiculous, and he had even taken it himself.
Although Parker could not understand what this is a thing, but he also certainly did not dare to run ...... so, just can only be so absurd to sit, end of that cup of tea, desperately want to let their own bodies do not continue to shake.
Soon, that doctor walked in, perhaps to make himself not so scared, he was very thoughtful to change a new white coat ......
"Hello, what's your name?"
"Snap - Parker." He swore that was really the most fluent thing he could say at the moment.
"Hello, my name is Zira." The doctor said, "I'm sorry for turning your companion into this."
"No ...... it's fine ...... we have a ...... general relationship." Parker replied shakily, in fact he didn't even seem to know what he was saying now.
Then he saw the doctor named Zira pull a small black notebook out of his coat pocket and casually flip open a page.
"So ...... I'm going to ask a question now." He looked at the notebook and asked, "Were you guys trying to rescue a few people from a place called 'Arkham Asylum' the other day?"
"Yes." Parker responded, since it was one word, he didn't stutter.
Oh yeah, this was considered classified in the gang, but at this point, what did it matter if it was classified or not.
No one knew what was written in that little book of Zi Liang's, in fact, just a short while ago, there should have been no words on it, but now it was as if he had seen something that made him happy.
Zira smiled, "Fantastic, so was your plan hindered by something, so you were forced to terminate it after only rescuing one person."
"Yes."
Zira gave an excited "Yay" as if she had won the lottery.
"Good, so now we're considered companions." He said.
"Huh?" Parker was dumbfounded, he couldn't follow the other party's train of thought at all, and in this instant, he even forgot to shiver.
Zira smiled, revealing a mouthful of neat white teeth.
"Because I'm going to help you guys with the prison heist." He said, while flipping the small notebook over.
Parker saw it had these two crooked lines on it.
[Arkham Asylum]
[Death Row 21]
